Biography
Ivo Müller is a Latin American Brazilian-born actor. After discovering a love of live performance in middle school, Ivo earned a B.A. in Law, before abandoning his burgeoning career in favor of acting. He then moved away from his home town, Florianópolis, to live in São Paulo, where he worked with renewed theater groups like Grupo Tapa and Centro de Pesquisa Teatral - CPT. His breakout role came in the critically acclaimed 2012 Portuguese film "Tabu," which garnered widespread acclaim, including the prestigious Critics Best Picture award at the Berlin Film Festival. Throughout his career, Müller has graced both Brazilian and international screens with his captivating performances. Notable among his credits is his portrayal of a compelling AIDS-stricken hairdresser, sharing the screen with Andrea Beltrão in "Hebe: The Brazilian Star" (2019).
His recent credits include a role in the Argentine film "La Muerte de Marga Maier", the US feature "Proof Sheet" (2023) and an anticipated appearance in Aly Muritiba's upcoming feature, "Barba Ensopada de Sangue."
Alongside his acting career, Müller worked as a producer of indie films and theater in Brazil and as an acting coach in the awarded documentary Cine Marrocos (2018), where he coached homeless people and refugees living in an abandoned movie theater in São Paulo.
