Episode 001 (1976)
Mary is watching TV in the kitchen. Her sister, Cathy Shumway, enters the house. Cathy and Mary talk about yellow build up, and debate if the floor has any on it. Loretta Haggers enters. She says that the Lombardi family was murdered along with their two goats and eight chickens, and soon they debate what hte name of the street is that they live on. A reporter from the Fernwood local newspaper enters the house. He asks them some questions about the Lombardis. Meanwhile, at the workplace, Tom Hartman and Charlie Haggers are eating. They turn on the radio and hear about the Lombardi murder. Charlie quickly turns it off because he's eating and does not want to hear about the murder of people. George Shumway, father of Mary and Cathy, enters. They talk about the Lombardis. The father of the family had worked at the plant but only for a short time. Charlie talks about Lombardi's radio, and how good his wife Loretta would sound on it. Meanwhile, at the Hartman residence, the phone rings. Mar

Episode 002 (1976)
Mary arrives at the police station and meets Sgt. Dennis Foley. She doesn't understand what he means by 'flasher' at first. Grandpa Larkin comes out with no pants on, but he is wearing a jacket. He claims he didn't flash anyone. According to Sgt. Foley, he flashed a cafeteria lady on the playground of an elementary school. Grandpa Larkin says he was only taking a walk, but Sgt. Foley asks him why he wasn't wearing any pants. Grandpa Larkin says that his pants are being cleaned. Grandpa Larkin and Mary then leave. Meanwhile, at the Shumway home, Martha Shumway is in the kitchen when Cathy enters. Martha asks if Cathy went to school. Cathy says she couldn't because she had to help an Armenian bartender get to bartending school across the street. George comes home. Mary and Grandpa Larkin enter. Mary tells the family what Grandpa Larkin did. Cathy and George know what she's talking about, but Martha asks what he was flashing. Grandpa Larkin goes throuh the house looking for peanut butter.

Episode 003 (1976)
Mary is being interviewed by Reporter Harold Clemens on the Lombardi murders. Mary talks about a book she once bought about psychology, which was guaranteed to improve her emotional health. Harold asks if it did. Mary says yes, because she realized while reading the book that she needed glasses. She then tells him the ""hillarious story"" of when she and Tom first met. He had turned the water on a water fountain way up high and it had gone up Mary's nostrils. Mary's daughter, Heather, comes home from school. She says she's not hungry because she ate four boxes of M&Ms. Heather had been at the Lombardis the day of the murder, and he asks her some questions. Heather complains of cramps, and Mary sends her to her room. Meanwhile, at the Haggers house, Loretta is rehearsing an act. Charlie enters. He wants to hear the act again, even though he's heard it a hundred times. She sings ""It Feels So Good When You Feel Me"" to him. Tom and Mary are in their bedroom. Tom says Mary looks cute cutting

Episode 004 (1976)
Mary, Tom, Martha, Cathy, and George are in a courtroom with Grandpa Raymond Larkin. Raymond enters and accuses the Shumways of trying to get rid of him. Martha says she would never do that to her pop. The judge thinks that Grandpa Larkin is crazy since he can't remember anything he does. Larkin does not want to go back to the Shumways, so Tom says Grandpa Larkin can stay with them. Grandpa Larkin says they have a lumpy couch, but it's better then anything 'Shumway' can offer. Tom, Mary, and Raymond arrive at the house. Grandpa wants to see Heather, but Mary prevents him from seeing her. Tom gets the stuff for Grandpa to sleep on, such as sheets for the couch. The next morning, Grandpa, Mary, and Tom are eating breakfest. They have conceived an alibi to tell Heather for why Grandpa Raymond Larkin is with them--his room is being painted. Heather enters and Mary tells her this. Mary hurridly gets her to go to school. George Shumway enters. He appologizes to Grandpa and says he can move

Episode 005 (1976)
Loretta continues to sing at the Lounge. She sings ""I Fall to Pieces"" by Patsy Cline, but by this point everyone except Charlie has left. After the show, Loretta and Charlie sit down and talk. Charlie tells Loretta that Tom has been asking him questions about them. Loretta comments that Mary isn't getting enough Vitamin L (Vitamin 'Love') from Tom. At the Hartman residence, Tom and Mary are in bed. Mary tells him about Sgt. Foley asking if he can interview Heather. Tom checks on Heather, and the phone rings. Mary answers it. It is a man who's voice is not identifiable. He asks if Heather lives in the house to make sure he hsa the right one. Mary is made nervous by this and tells Tom about the call. Tom tells her it was probably some prank call. Tom and Mary are about to do things in bed (Wink Wink Nudge Nudge) when Tom says he's losing his 'momentum'. Mary suggests they take a hot shower.
