Quakertown: Quaker's Way (2001)
Doug Wilson goes ""ballistic"" while taking an ordinary living room back to the 1970s. Across the street, Hilda Santo-Tomas maps out a plan to modernize a basement playroom. They both get some help from carpenter Ty Pennington, who's building a couch and some benches to accent the designs. Will these two small-town couples like their new contemporary rooms? We'll see!
New Jersey: Tall Pines Drive (2001)
It's all about love and art in this New Jersey neighborhood! Laurie Smith takes a cue from Henri Matisse in designing a colorful basement playroom. Up the street, Vern Yip introduces a little romance and light into an outdated bedroom. Carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor brings her own artistry to building new furniture for Vern, and louver doors for Laurie. We'll see if the love lasts when our two couples return to their own rooms!
Maple Glen: Fiedler Road (2001)
Goodbye ceiling fan, hello controversy! That's the drama playing out in this suburb of Philadelphia. Beth and Michael made their neighbors promise not to lose their bedroom ceiling fan. But Laurie Smith thinks some promises are meant to be broken! See what happens when her team learns about her ceiling-fan plan. Up the street, Genevieve Gorder's house is peaceful as she and her team transform a plain living room into an elegant and still family-friendly space. And carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor tries to strike a balance between peace and frenzy as she assembles a complex canopy bed.
Northampton: James Avenue (2001)
Time is definitely a factor in this episode, as Hilda Santo-Tomas and Frank Bielec try to give two old-fashioned living rooms some modern-day flair. Hilda pulls up carpets, paints walls and re-faces a fireplace while Frank builds tables and a dog bed.
Providence: Wallis Avenue (2001)
When you've only got 48 hours to redo a room, you probably shouldn't try to scrape wallpaper off walls that measure 11 feet high! But that's just what Genevieve Gorder has in store for her team as they remake a flowery master bedroom into a sophisticated love nest! Across the street, Frank Bielec is going arts-and-crafts crazy trying to brighten up a dark and tiny kitchen. Plus, he's trying to save money for a dishwasher! Amy Wynn Pastor is helping the cause by using as little wood as possible to build a new kitchen table for the room. If they can return some of the wood, they may have enough for the dishwasher. We'll see!
