Overview
The first season of Wizards of Waverly Place aired on Disney Channel from October 12, 2007 to August 31, 2008. The season introduces the Russo children, Alex, Justin, and Max Russo as they compete to become the leading wizard in their family. After Harper is hired at the sub station, Alex uses magic to help Harper overcome her clumsiness, which eventually backfires on Alex. A whiz kid is upset for losing business when Justin starts a tutorial service.

Alex wants unlimited use of magic from her parents, after she meets a fellow wizard at her school who is allowed unlimited magic from his parents. There is a meeting which Alex sets up between the two sets of parents.
