The Vidella, Blackpool (2014)

Best friends Neil and John took over the Vidella Hotel in Blackpool a decade ago, but their love of practical jokes is beginning to wear thin and falling trade has started to take its toll on them. Alex Polizzi tries to turn their struggling business around, but has her work cut out to prove to the owners that a failing hotel is not a laughing matter.

Eden Lodge, Falmouth (2014)

Alex Polizzi visits Eden Lodge in the popular holiday and sailing resort of Falmouth in Cornwall, booking into the B&B as a guest to gain an impression of the average customer experience. She is not impressed by owners Lynn and Ziggy's self-decorated bedrooms and the condition of their indoor swimming pool, and decides they need a serious wake-up call if they are to operate at a profit.

Alexandra Hotel, Llandudno (2014)

Church minister John Humberstone has been welcoming guests to the Grade-II listed Alexandra Hotel in Llandudno for the past couple of years, but the business is in deep trouble. Alex Polizzi heads to north Wales to try to revive the establishment's fortunes, but has her work cut out to transform its failing restaurant, bad reputation and negative reviews.

Paramount Hotel, Nottingham (2014)

The owners of Paramount Hotel in Nottingham push Alex Polizzi to the edge and she comes close to walking out for the first time ever. Mary and Milad have ploughed their life savings into the business, remortgaged their home, borrowed from relatives and rented rooms for tiny amounts to undesirable guests in an attempt to keep their heads above water. Will Alex have the power to change their fortunes?
