Waka wonders who the handsome guy he saw hanging out with Seo at the summer festival is. He asks Nozaki and Hori but neither are able to help him. The drama club plans to have a trip, and non-members are also invited. Hori asks Waka and Kashima asks Sakura; they both agree to go. Sakura asks Mikorin if he is going, and Mikorin becomes shocked when Sakura tells him he won't be with Kashima.

Waka happens to observe Kashima's conversation with Seo and Sakura about the trip. He feels Seo and Sakura should be more careful around a boy like Kashima, whereas Mikorin is too cautious. The next day he joins Sakura, Seo, and Kashima as they pick out their swimsuits. He feels he won’t be judged as a pervert because Kashima is there too

The drama club and invited friends arrive at the beach. Nozaki compares real life situation to shojo manga, especially scenes he can use for Mamiko and Suzuki. For example, imagining Suzuki's different reaction to Mamiko's swimsuit, making Sakura jealous.

Which Shines Brighter, Me or the Sun? (2015)

Mikorin relates summer and beach events to date related video games. Waka gets surrounded by two girls and runs to Seo for protection. Since they can’t see any manga scenarios, like someone getting hit, or able to hear someone's conversation, Nozaki, Sakura, and Mikorin decide to imagine their own lines.
